Citizens for Peace ?
Would you like to become a citizen for peace ?
Who never dreamt about a huge international movement for peace ? Who never dreamt about a more peaceful world ? And about more peace inside each of us ?
We all saw the burst of sympathy and solidarity during Ingrid Betancourt's detention and liberation. She spoke about peace, about freedom, she said that she was not resentful and that she was genuinely free because she was free of hatred. We think that inner and outer peace are linked and that both are important.
To build a different world, we all can do something at our level, individually (inwardly). But we can also inform, developp awareness, take action. For all that, we need citizens, a lot of citizens, but also some famous people whose voice could be heard. That's why we thought that Ingrid Betancourt, with other well-known people, could be some kind of "peace ambassadors".
